Forthcoming Darfur book details
Our publisher, Black Rose Books, has a page up for our forthcoming book on Darfur (title pending). Available for pre-order on Amazon (also in hardcover) - hopefully soon also on Powell's, which is unionized.
Confronting Empire is maintained by Steven Fake and Kevin Funk. Both are freelance writers and social justice activists who are especially interested in U.S. foreign policy vis-à-vis Latin America, Africa (most notably the conflict in Darfur), and the Middle East.
Their writings have been published in such media as Foreign Policy in Focus, Common Dreams, CounterPunch, ZNet, and Black Commentator. They are authors of a book on Darfur scheduled to be released by Black Rose Books in October 2008, currently available for pre-order on Amazon.
